ANNUAL DEBATE COMPETITION

We held the competition on the 27TH of June, 2023 at Independence Grammar School. The taking part schools include St. James Catholic Grammar School, St Ambrose Grammar School, CAC Grammar School, St. Helen’s Unity Secondary School, St Joseph’s College, St Monica’s Girls Grammar School, Holy Trinity Grammar School, and the Host, Independence Grammar School.

ANNUAL ESSAY COMPETITION

The competition was held on the 15th of March, 2023 at St. Helen’s Unity Secondary School, Ondo among students of St. James Catholic Grammar School, Ondo, CAC Grammar School, Ondo and the Host St. Helen’s Unity Secondary School, Ondo.

FOLLOW UP OF THE BOY/GIRL CHILD INITIATIVE

In a bid to ensure the sustainability of the Boy/Girl Child Initiative held last year. GFF visited St James Catholic Grammar School on the 25th & 26th January, 2023 to provide a follow up mentorship on the Initiative launched in the school last year.

Children in Africa are faced with different challenges. These challenges tend to impede their development/growth which is why GFF launched the Boy/Girl- Child initiative to take them through the journey of several developments needed to be an empowered child.

Back To School Initiative

In support of Quality Education, we donated exercise books to some Primary Schools.

Mentorship at St. Helen's Unity Secondary School.

On the 26th of March 2022, our mentorship team visited the school to educate the pupil on the need to be determined and courageous in other to achieve their dreams. The breakout session gave room for a closer approach to engaging the students as many of their questions were answered and fears remove.

International Day Against Bullying

International Day Against Bullying was held on the 24th February, 2022 in collaboration with Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Ondo State. The event was held at St Matthias Anglican High School, Alagbaka, Ondo State.

BENEFICIARIES: Cash support was donated towards the success of the event . 150 customised higher education was also donated.

Vocabulary Bee Competition

Vocabulary Bee 2021 Ondo State with the theme “Shine with Words” was organized by Great Minds Literacy Readers. Gbenga Fawehinmi Foundation was one of their major collaborator. The event was held on the 16th July, 2021 in Akure city. BENEFICIARIES: About 200 participants from different schools graced the event. The best three overall winners from different age categories 5-7years, 8-10years, 11-13 years were awarded a fully-funded scholarship by Gbenga Fawehinmi Foundation.
