The Gbenga Fawehinmi Foundation (GFF) has, since its establishment in 2016, committed itself to the social and humanitarian development of the less privileged, especially children in Nigeria. The foundation is a non-governmental organization based in Nigeria and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
GFF came about to close some of the socio-economical gaps in the Nigerian society. UNICEF, for instance, estimates that one in every five of the world’s out-of-school children is in Nigeria. This is so even though education is free in Nigeria but still unaffordable for the less-privileged. Not doing anything about it means we are leaving millions of vulnerable children and families with no chance to make a better life for themselves. GFF identified this educational gap as one of the significant challenges in Nigeria and therefore saw the need to offer these humanitarian services to the most vulnerable of the Nigerian society.
GFF has dedicated its work to one clear purpose: providing mentorship and scholarship to children in Nigeria. Over the past six years, the Foundation has worked with different learning institutions and grassroots level partners to touch thousands of lives of families and children who are in need through the provision of service, mentorship, training, entrepreneurial upskilling, and scholarships to children in need. Through our activities, we have impacted children in vulnerable communities to access proper education and have set in place plans to expand our reach in coming years.
Our Driving Force
MISSION
Our mission at GFF is to empower vulnerable children and youths in Nigeria by providing comprehensive support through leadership and entrepreneurship training, mentorship, educational scholarships, and quality STEM education. We are dedicated to equipping them with the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to overcome challenges, achieve their full potential, and realize their career aspirations. We believe that by investing in their development, we are fostering a generation of leaders and innovators who will drive positive change within their communities and the nation.
VISION
GFF envisions a world where all children and youths, irrespective of their background or circumstances, have equitable opportunities to succeed and make meaningful contributions to the betterment of their communities and nation.
