About Us

Who We Are

Gbenga Fawehinmi Foundation (GFF) was founded in 2016 in response to the lack of resources and support available to vulnerable children and youths in Nigeria.
Since then, we have made a significant impact in the lives of thousands of children and youths, providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. GFF came about to close some of the socio-economical gaps in the Nigerian society. UNICEF, for instance, estimates that one in every five of the world’s out-of-school children is in Nigeria. This is so even though education is free in Nigeria but still unaffordable for the less-privileged. Not doing anything about it means we are leaving millions of vulnerable children and families with no chance to make a better life for themselves. GFF identified this educational gap as one of the significant challenges in Nigeria and therefore saw the need to offer these humanitarian services to the most vulnerable of the Nigerian society.

Founder's Message

My name is Gbenga Fawehinmi, I am a trained lawyer and the founder of the Gbenga Fawehinmi Foundation. I am glad to share our noble mission and vision with you and also extend an invitation to join us on our journey towards a brighter future for the less privileged members of our society.

Since its inception, the Gbenga Fawehinmi Foundation has been guided by a singular vision – to break the cycle of poverty and uplift the less privileged by providing them with access to quality education. We firmly believe that education is the most powerful tool to transform lives and create sustainable change in our communities.

In today’s world, access to education is not just a privilege; it is a fundamental human right. Yet, millions of children in Nigeria are denied this basic right due to various socio-economic barriers.

We recognize that education is not merely about acquiring knowledge; it is about empowering individuals to realize their full potential, irrespective of their circumstances. Through education, we aim to equip the less privileged with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to chart their own path towards a bright and secure future.

Our foundation is committed to reaching out to marginalized communities, providing scholarships, educational materials, and mentorship programs to deserving students who would otherwise be deprived of these opportunities. We believe that every child deserves a chance to dream, to learn, and to succeed, regardless of their background or financial status.

We work closely with local communities, schools, and other stakeholders to ensure that our interventions are sustainable and impactful in the long run. We believe in fostering a culture of collaboration and partnership, recognizing that real change can only be achieved when we work together towards a common goal.

As we embark on this journey, I invite you to join hands with us in our mission to transform lives through education. Whether you are an individual, a corporate entity, or a philanthropic organization, your support and contribution can make a world of difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Together, let us be the catalysts for change, the champions of hope for the less privileged, and the architects of a brighter tomorrow for the millions of deserving children. Together, we can make education a reality for all.
